Falcons sign safety to practice squad ahead of TNF game vs. Buccaneers

The Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran safety Jordan Fuller to the practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon. Fuller was released from the Falcons’ 53-man roster earlier this week after appearing in six regular season games.

A former sixth-round pick, Fuller has recorded 335 tackles (205 solo), seven interceptions and 18 passes defended in 63 career games (56 starts). The 27-year-old previously played for Falcons head coach Raheem Morris when the two were both in Los Angeles.

Fuller signed with Atlanta in the offseason but lost out on the starting job to rookie safety Xavier Watts. The third-round pick out of Notre Dame has thrived playing in Jeff Ulbrich’s defense, and currently leads all rookies with three interceptions. Fuller has served as a depth and special teams player for much of the season.
