Stunning news out of the college football world on Wednesday. The University of Michigan fired head coach Sherrone Moore, citing an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. The Wolverines were 9-3 in the Big Ten in 2025 and headed to the Cheetos Bowl against the Texas Longhorns. The school said: “This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior,” athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday. Biff Poggi was named interim coach. This is a big job so, no doubt a lot of names will covet it.
