Chiefs mock draft: KC picks one player at each offensive position

The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of a total collapse with three games remaining in the regular season, and now that the team has officially been eliminated from the playoffs, fans in Western Missouri can start looking forward to the 2026 NFL draft.

At 6-8, the Chiefs are currently in line to select in the top-15 for the first time since 2017, when they traded up to the No. 10 spot in the first round to pick superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Now, Kansas City’s offense is due for another rebuild, and Chiefs general manager Brett Veach may decide that the draft is the best opportunity to address his team’s needs.

Check out this seven-round Chiefs mock draft, which has Veach picking one player at each offensive position:

Round 1, Pick 12: Oregon Ducks TE Kenyon Sadiq

Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq hurdles over USC cornerback DeCarlos Nicholson as the Oregon Ducks host the USC Trojans on Nov. 22, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.

Travis Kelce’s disposition for the 2026 season is unknown, but if he decides to retire at the end of the regular season, Kansas City will have a massive need to fill at the tight end position. Kelce’s veteran backup, Noah Gray, has been a key contributor to the Chiefs’ offense for years, but lacks the upside of a prospect like Sadiq, who could develop into one of the NFL’s most exciting pass-catchers.

Round 2, Pick 43: Notre Dame Fighting Irish RB Jadarian Price

Kansas City’s rushing game has been a non-factor for far too long, and if Price is on the board in the early-to-mid second-round, the Chiefs would be wise to pick this explosive Notre Dame standout.

Round 3, Pick 77: Arizona State Sun Devils OT Max Iheanachor

Iheanachor is exactly the kind of raw offensive line prospect that Kansas City needs to acquire. Expect Veach to continue addressing the Chiefs’ front five in the middle rounds of the 2026 NFL draft.

Round 4, Pick 112: Oklahoma Sooners WR Deion Burks

Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Deion Burks (4) leaps to the end zone past Louisiana State Tigers cornerback PJ Woodland (11) to score a touchdown during a college football game between the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) and the LSU Tigers at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025. Oklahoma won 17-13.

For as much as Kansas City’s wide receivers have struggled in 2025, it’s not like the Chiefs lack talented pass-catchers. Perhaps Veach should look to target a wideout earlier in the draft, but Burks fits the mold of what Kansas City has looked for in its receivers in recent years, and could be an excellent value pick here in Round 4.

Round 5, Pick 151: Virginia Tech Hokies OG Tomas Rimac

Rimac could be one of the best offensive linemen available on Day 3. When healthy, the Chiefs have plenty of capable blockers to man the guard positions, but the addition of Rimac could help Kansas City stabilize its front five for years to come.

Round 5, Pick 176: Clemson Tigers QB Cade Klubnik

Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik (2) warms up during the Pinstipe Bowl practice in Clemson, S.C. Monday, Dec. 15, 2025.

Patrick Mahomes’ knee injury may force the Chiefs to explore the addition of a young signal-caller. Klubnik was once considered an elite quarterback prospect, but he saw his draft stock crater as Clemson struggled this season.

Round 7, Pick 226: Kansas Jayhawks OC Bryce Foster

Foster rounds out Veach’s offensive rebuild in Round 7 as Kansas City’s final selection in the 2026 NFL draft. While it is nearly impossible to predict late-round picks, Foster may be one of the best players available on Day 3.
