Round 1: Harvey out early with the jab. He’s firing early and often, mixing up shots to the head and body. Wicked five-punch combo from Harvey, Cervantes still waiting for his moment. Cervantes almost ducks right into an uppercut. They exchange and Harvey drops Cervantes with a right. He looks OK, seems to be indicating he was just off-balance, but that’s a knockdown. Cervantes with a wild right and Harvey counters with a short combo. Check right from Harvey has Cervantes off-balance again.

Round 2: Cervantes aggressive but he just eats an uppercut coming in. Long left from Harvey scores. Harvey pressuring with his jab and a big right as he backs Cervantes up. Harvey moving well and picking Cervantes apart. Cervantes just can’t get out of the way of that jab. He works to attack Harvey’s body and a good right to the ribs lands. Harvey keeping that jab pressure up. Cervantes walks into a right hand. Harvey jabs the body. There’s a jab by Cervantes. Strong right from Harvey to close the round.

Round 3: Cervantes not shy, give him that, even as he comes forward and gets chewed up. Harvey just teeing off. Cervantes keeping his distance now, so Harvey happy to poke at his midsection. More body shots from Harvey as he opens Cervantes up. Punches in bunches from Harvey and there’s a slip. Quick check on Cervantes and they’re back at it. Harvey advances with two hard lefts. Right cross from Harvey.

Harvey to the body, almost zero response from Cervantes. This is a pad session for Harvey, my goodness. Uppercut connects for Harvey. Cervantes lands a couple of rights, showing signs of life. Harvey connects with a pair of hooks. Another slip for Cervantes. Jab-jab-body combo from Harvey. He’s punishing that midsection and could be setting up a finish in the next round.
