The Detroit Lions will travel to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Day.

While the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers drastically affected the Lions’ chances of making the playoffs, they’re not statistically eliminated after Week 16.

The Lions are the first team outside the NFC playoff picture. Sitting on the bubble at the No. 8 seed, this is a must-win game for Detroit.

Even if Detroit wins, it does not control its own destiny as of Week 17. However, all they can control now is winning on Christmas.

As for the Vikings, their season has been an absolute disaster. J.J. McCarthy has shown playmaking abilities, but absolutely zero evidence that he can consistently run an NFL offense.

McCarthy is once again dealing with an injury, so Max Brosmer might get another crack at the starting job.

Here’s how to listen to Vikings vs. Lions on Christmas.
