The Denver Broncos look to stay ahead of the pack and in control of the one seed with a win on Christmas night over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are without Patrick Mahomes and their backup Gardner Minshew. They will also be without two of their more explosive receiving threats in Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thorton. Denver has zero excuses to come out of this game with anything less than a win. Time to live up to expectations.
Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. Mile High time on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. You can watch the live stream on Amazon Prime. The game will be called by Al Michaels (play-by-play), Kirk Herstreit (analyst), and Kaylee Hartung (sideline). You can also check local Broncos radio network affiliate stations.

Broncos vs. Chiefs score predictions
According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 13.5-point road favorites over the Chiefs in this game, but oddly enough the over/under is at just 37.5. That makes me feel like the under on the spread is a strong possibility here, especially since its a divisional game as well. Even so, I don’t see why the Broncos wouldn’t still win by two scores here. They are more healthy and are playing with a lot more at stake. There is no excuse for them to lose here.
Prediction:Broncos 23, Chiefs 10.

#Broncos game captains: Bo Nix, Talanoa Hufanga and Alex Singleton.
Chiefs win the toss and defer. Denver up first with the ball.

Really nice play-design there from Sean Payton. Think that was the first time I’ve seen RJ Harvey and Jaleel McLaughlin on the field together this year. Bubble-screen for Harvey gets a first.
— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) December 26, 2025
Bo Nix tried to lead Lil’Jordan Humphrey to the spot there, but Humphrey was sitting. Ball’s off Humphrey’s fingertips.
Eight-minute #Broncos drive to start ends in a 27-yard Wil Lutz FG. 3-0.
Thought Nix looked underneath one too many times that drive.

#Broncos got Oladokun in third-and-long and Jonathon Cooper hit him hard as he launched a deep ball to nowhere.

Nix gets picked off.
It’s going to be one of those games

That ends a lackluster first quarter
Broncos: 3
Chiefs: 0— MileHighReport (@MileHighReport) December 26, 2025
Broncos are moving Oladokun off his mark on nearly every dropback, but he’s been able to make a couple plays on the move. Will start the 2Q with a third-and-3 inside the red zone — one of those 4-point plays Sean Payton talks about.

Touchdown Chiefs
Great. Wonderful.

The Broncos were talking about tackling this week. Vance Joseph said, “We’ll fix that.” And we see a missed tackle right there as Alex Singleton can’t bring down rookie Brashard Smith, leading to the Chiefs taking a 7-3 lead here in the second quarter.

Bo Nix has been quite off so far.
Fired too long past Courtland Sutton there with feet awry while climbing the pocket. Had Sutton on third down.
Nix stood and looked at video-board reply for a second there. Got a pat on the chest from Sean Payton.
— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) December 26, 2025
Bo Nix keeps it on a 3rd-and-4, nice 14-yard pickup. Almost popped it if not for a shoestring tackle.

Courtland Sutton gets hit HARD in the end zone.
Can’t hold on.
Broncos FG time.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) December 26, 2025
Courtland Sutton just walked over to Bo Nix on the sidelines and dapped him up. Sutton’s been visibly frustrated after a couple plays in this first half.
