Aim high, hit low: Borussia Dortmund’s managing director is attempting to set up Bayern Munich’s downfall

Bayern Munich remains one of the best teams in Europe despite some slip-ups in the past two months. Theoretically, the team is nearly unstoppable. However, are they immune to jinxes?

“Looking at the top, we have to be realistic; Bayern are simply doing a good job. Normally, they’ll be German champions, DFB Pokal winners, and Champions League winners. But the good news is: it’s only December, not May yet.” That was what Borussia Dortmund managing director Lars Ricken said (kicker via @iMiaSanMia) about his club’s position and their ambition. Speaking of, he also stated that Die Schwarzgelben doesn’t want to let go of their good standing in the league. They are currently second which, according to Uli Hoeneß, is theirs to lose.

A strong record in both the Bundesliga and Champions League and a decent outing in the DFB-Pokal means that the Bavarians are favorites to win all of three of those competitions.
