Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback James Pierre (calf) received an important injury update ahead of the Week 18 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
After returning to practice earlier in the week as a limited participant and missing the subsequent session with an illness, Pierre upgraded to full participation on Friday, clearing himself to play in the Steelers‘ regular-season finale.

After spending the first five years of his career primarily in a depth and special teams role, Pierre solidified himself as a starting-caliber cornerback earlier this season, courtesy of some elite performances against the very best wide receivers the league has to offer.
Pierre’s return to action could give the Steelers the edge they need to defeat the Ravens in Week 18 and punch their ticket to the playoffs.
