Las Vegas Raiders fans haven’t had much to cheer about this season, but Week 18 finally brought some joy for Raider Nation.
With the New York Giants beating the Dallas Cowboys during the morning slate of games on Sunday, Las Vegas had the No. 1 pick of the 2026 NFL draft locked up before kickoff against the Kansas City Chiefs. Then, the Silver and Black managed to avoid the embarrassment of getting swept in the AFC West for the second year in a row by beating their biggest rivals, 14-12.
Nothing was riding on this game, but the Raiders managed to show enough fight to get their first win since Week 6/mid-October. No player embodied that more than Tyree Wilson, who had a career game with six total tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a safety that ended up being the difference on the scoreboard. Also, kicker Daniel Carlson has had a tough year but managed to finish on a high note with a career-long 60-yard field goal to give the Raiders the lead with eight seconds left.
So, in a season that’s been hard to watch, the vibes are high in Sin City as the organization looks toward the offseason. That leads to a more positive tone when it comes to the internet’s reaction to the latest Raiders’ game.
A new quarterback is on the way…probably, or hopefully…
We’re finally getting a franchise qb man. After all the failed tanks and Jimmy g, Minshew, AOC and Geno games WE FUCKIN DID IT pic.twitter.com/iDQ5M3qrPm

The offseason blueprint:
the #raiders obviously have to hit on the 1.01, but they also need early-returns on their other top-100 picks. draft aside, not whiffing on the hc hire would also be nice. there hasn’t been a more important offseason for mark davis’s team. pic.twitter.com/bbfsTJnKp4

The one downside to winning.
Stuff that probably only interests me:
The Raiders win today didn’t hurt them getting the No. 1 pick (thanks to the NYG win). But it does mean they will pick No. 36 in the 2nd round instead of No. 33 (1st pick on day 2).
The Jets will now pick No. 33.

Two forced fumbles for Tyree Wilson in the first half ✌️

Ashton Jeanty fell short of 1,000, but this is an impressive stat to give some encouragement for his future.
There have been 13 rookies in the last 10 seasons to rush for over 1,000 yards. None of them had more yards after contact than Ashton Jeanty (639), who failed to reach that mark.

Pete Carroll wants to return, but will he?
.@Raiders coach Pete Carroll said he’d like to be back next season. (Obviously that decision is TBA)

Carroll said he would like to come back next season, reiterating what he said after #Raiders loss to the Houston Texans last month.

Speaking of old guys coming back, is Travis Kelce’s last NFL game going to be a loss to the Raiders?
It’s wild how this season has played out, LOL!
If you told me in August we’d start the season beating NE and end it beating KC I would have said what seed in the playoffs are we
I’d like to reiterate this message and thank you all for your support throughout this season. Here’s to the offseason!
