General manager Mike Borgonzi is moving quickly to line up interviews for the vacant Tennessee Titans head coaching job, and you can add another potential candidate to the list.
On Monday night, reports on social media surfaced that Tennessee will interview the recently fired Atlanta Falcons head coach, Raheem Morris, for the opening.

While his two-year stint in Atlanta did not meet expectations, with his teams going a combined 16-18, with back-to-back eight-win seasons, he is well respected across the league and is considered a players’ coach that understands how to run the locker room.
An experienced head coach and coordinator, Morris has a combined record of 37-56 as an NFL head coach with the Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His stint in Atlanta was marred by questionable clock management and inconsistent play. But his teams were competitive, and players responded to his leadership.
The handling of the team’s dysfunctional quarterback situation may have played a significant role in the firings, as both Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot were dismissed on Sunday. The Falcons shocked the NFL when they used a first-round pick on quarterback Michael Penix Jr., just weeks after signing veteran Kirk Cousins to a massive contract when he was coming off an Achilles injury; something he won’t have to deal with having Cam Ward under center if he were hired.
Morris may not be an exciting name to Titans’ fans. Still, his reputation and ability to manage a locker room and his experience as a Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator make him an intriguing candidate.
