The fact that it was Friday and New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson was missing on the practice field raised many eyebrows. The lead-up to the playoffs in New England has been rough, with multiple players dealing with injuries and illness.
But everyone can breathe a sigh of relief.
Per Patriots Wire’s Sophie Weller, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel told media members on Friday that Henderson’s absence was due to a personal reason. So the team should be good to go with their two-headed monster at running back with both Henderson and veteran Rhamondre Stevenson.
They will need all of the help they can get when trying to stand toe-to-toe with the Los Angeles Chargers’ elite defense in Sunday’s wild-card playoff game.

The Patriots have quietly been the third-best rushing offense in the NFL over the last three games. They are averaging 159 yards per game on the ground over that span.
That kind of high-end production on the ground could pay off in a major way against a Chargers defense that has been one of the best in the league when defending against the pass.
