Henry Shannon III gets double-double in Beavers' loss to SMSU

Jan. 9—BEMIDJI — Despite a red-hot day from Henry Shannon III, the Mustangs’ defense was just too much for the Beavers to handle Friday night.

The Bemidji State men’s basketball team dropped to Southwest Minnesota State 85-55 at the BSU gymnasium.

The Beavers did not get off to a good start, trailing 47-16 by halftime.

Shannon III scored half of BSU’s points Friday night, notching 28. He also corralled 20 rebounds, getting a double-double. Abu Keita had the second-most rebounds with three.

BSU had only four 3-pointers, half of which came from John Pecarich, who was 2-for-8 from beyond the arc.
