NFL playoff predictions for Super Bowl 60, AFC, NFC titles

Wild-card weekend featured four one-score games. What does the divisional round have in store? The Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears are still in contention.

Who is in best position for a trip to Santa Clara for Super Bowl 60? Here’s a look at predictions and picks to win the AFC, NFC and which team will hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February.

AFC Championship prediction: Bills survive against Patriots

Josh Allen’s the fourth player in NFL history with at least 3,000 passing yards and 25 touchdown passes in six of his first eight career seasons, per NFL Research. The Bills are too reliant on Allen, but I predict he’ll have plenty of assistance against the Patriots in an all-AFC East championship game.

Running back James Cook produces more than 130 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. Buffalo’s defense gets just enough stops as the Bills upset the Patriots in Foxborough again.

It’ll mark Buffalo’s first Super Bowl appearance since the 1993 season.

NFC Championship prediction: Rams hold on in Seattle to advance to Super Bowl

For full disclosure, I originally picked the Eagles to win Super Bowl 60, but they were stunned by San Francisco during the wild-card round. The Eagles were the Rams’ kryptonite.

I predict the Rams and Seahawks, two NFC West foes, will meet in Seattle with a trip to Super Bowl 60 on the line. The two teams split the series during the regular season, but the Rams’ Week 16 loss to Seattle was without Davante Adams.

Adams and Puka Nacua are arguably the best receiver duo in the NFL. Matthew Stafford has targeted both of them during an MVP-caliber campaign.

Expect the Rams’ high-powered offense to make a few big plays to keep the Seahawks defense off-balance. The Rams picked off Sam Darnold four times in Week 11. The Rams defense will force a couple more takeaways as they earn a hard-fought road win.

Super Bowl 60 prediction

Losers of four Super Bowls in a row in the early 90s, the Bills have a painful championship game history. Unfortunately for Buffalo, Feb. 8 will add to the franchise’s Super Bowl misery.

The Bills are too dependent on Josh Allen. Their reliance on the superstar quarterback will comeback to bite them against a good Rams team.

This game could feature the two most recent MVPs.

But it’s the Rams MVP, Matthew Stafford, who will shine the brightest. Armed with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, Stafford boasts the best supporting cast. Plus, the Rams defense led by Jared Verse, Byron Young and Nate Landman have one of the league’s top front sevens.

The Rams lift up the Lombardi Trophy in their home state.

Super Bowl 60 odds breakdown

According to the current betting odds at BetMGM, the Seattle Seahawks have the best odds of winning Super Bowl 60 at +280.
