The New York Giants are in full-court press mode in their effort to land John Harbaugh as their next head coach. So much so that they are willing to meet his high salary demands.
NFL insider Ian O’Connor reports that the Giants are willing to pay the expected $20 million per year that Harbaugh is likely to require.
I’ve had a lot of people ask about money. The Giants are well aware that John Harbaugh was making $17-18 million with the Ravens and aren’t afraid of those numbers. Expect this to come in around $20 mil per, Andy Reid’s AAV.

The Giants knew they’d have to be competitive when it came to total compensation in this scenario, and it appears that by the aggressive effort they have made this week, they are serious.
Harbaugh is meeting with the Giants on Wednesday in New Jersey, and the thought process is that they plan to “not let him leave the building” without signing a deal. If he does, he is expected to meet next with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.
