As the Los Angeles Chargers enter the 2026 offseason after their 16-3 NFL Wildcard round loss to New England, which Bolts players will be pending free agents?
According to Spotrac, the Chargers have the following players listed as pending free agents:
Unrestricted Free Agents (UFAs)
Keenan Allen
Tyler Conklin
Da’Shawn Hand
Najee Harris
Josh Harris
Bobby Hart
Hassan Haskins
Andre James
Tony Jefferson
Zion Johnson
Trey Lance
Deane Leonard
Khalil Mack
Otito Ogbonnia
Odafe Oweh
Trevor Penning
Denzel Perryman
Del’Shawn Phillips
Trey Pipkins III
Jamaree Salyer
Benjamin St-Juste
Teair Tart
UFA: Any player with four or more accrued seasons and an expired contract; free to negotiate and sign with any team.
Restricted Free Agents (RFAs)
Austin Deculus
Tucker Fisk
RFA: A player with three accrued seasons and an expired contract. RFAs are free to negotiate and sign with any team, but their original team can offer them one of various qualifying offers (“tenders”) that come with the right of first refusal and/or draft-pick compensation.
Exclusive Rights Free Agents (ERFA)
Jaret Patterson
Kimani Vidal
Kendall Williamson
ERFA: Any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.
While the list of players is quite extensive, the Chargers fortunately have the league’s most salary cap space available at $109,991,349 as of Jan. 14.
Obviously, that surplus of available cash will decrease with the Chargers signing key players to contracts ahead of the league’s free agency period in March, but the Bolts should have plenty of money to spend on needed reinforcements, particularly at the offensive line.
