Texas A&M will face major turnover along the offensive line heading into the 2026 season, and one of its most experienced depth pieces has now made his next step official. Senior tackle Reuben Fatheree II announced Thursday that he will enter the 2026 NFL Draft, closing the book on a five‑year career in Bryan‑College Station.
Fatheree shared the news on social media, offering a heartfelt farewell to the 12th Man and reflecting on his time in Aggieland. The decision was widely expected—he has exhausted his eligibility—and he departs as one of the longest‑tenured members of the offensive line.
Fatheree burst onto the scene as a freshman All‑American and followed it with a full‑time starting role as a sophomore. An injury setback during his junior season slowed his development, and he spent the remainder of his career as a reserve tackle and special teams contributor.
At 6‑foot‑8 with rare length, explosiveness, and natural movement skills, Fatheree still carries the traits evaluators look for in an NFL offensive lineman. He remains a developmental prospect who needs refinement to reach his ceiling, but his physical tools and football IQ have him projected as a late Day 3 pick or priority undrafted free agent.
Below is his full statement from social media.
