Brian Callahan, former Titans coach, interviews as Los Angeles Chargers OC

Former Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan interviewed for the offensive coordinator vacancy with the Los Angeles Chargers, marking the second publicly-known interview Callahan has conducted since the Titans fired him in October.

Callahan owned a 4-19 record in 23 games as Titans head coach. He was fired six games into the 2025 season with a 1-5 record under his belt. Prior to working as the Titans’ coach, Callahan was offensive coordinator in Cincinnati from 2019-23, helping the Bengals to two playoff berths and one Super Bowl appearance.

Callahan, 41, has also interviewed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator vacancy this offseason.

The Titans are in the middle of the search to replace Callahan. The franchise has interviewed, scheduled interviews with or requested to interview at least 17 candidates, most of whom are former NFL head coaches. The prominent names on the list include Mike McCarthy, Mike McDaniel, Kevin Stefanski, Matt Nagy, Vance Joseph, Arthur Smith and Robert Saleh.

The Chargers made the playoffs with an 11-6 record but parted ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman after an underwhelming performance in the team’s postseason loss against the New England Patriots.
