Isaiah Hartenstein injury update: Thunder center handling calf strain 'like a pro'

Isaiah Hartenstein did not suit up for the OKC Thunder in a 122-120 road loss against the Miami Heat on Saturday.

It marked the 11th straight missed game for Hartenstein, who continues to deal with a nagging right soleus (calf) strain. The injury also sidelined him for six straight games from Nov. 28-Dec. 10.

A timeline for Hartenstein’s return has not been given, but the 27-year-old center is traveling with OKC during its four-game road trip. And he held his an individual workout session after shootaround on Saturday.

“Like a pro,” Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said when asked how Hartenstein is handling the injury. “He’s just a pro. Even if you look at his NBA career, he’s had a lot of different experiences that he’s had to endure. … He applies all of those experiences to the circumstances he’s in at any given moment. He does a great job of being present in whatever is going on, including right now.”

Next up for OKC (35-8) is a road game against Cleveland at 1:30 p.m. CST Monday.
