Live Coverage: Patriots vs. Texans

The New England Patriots host the Houston Texans in the AFC Division game on Sunday afternoon.

The Patriots defense could get a big boost with Christian Gonzalez, who suffered a concussion in New England’s wild card win over the Los Angeles Chargers, cleared protocol and is expected to play Sunday.

The winner will advance to the AFC Championship, which will be hosted by the Denver Broncos on Jan. 25. The Broncos will be without starting QB Bo Nix.

Khyiris Tonga, who’s been out since Week 16 with a foot injury, is also optimistic about playing.

The Texans, meanwhile, will be without star wide receiver Nico Collins, who did not practice all week. Collins suffered a concussion late in the third quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

MassLive will have full coverage from Gillette Stadium until the final whistle.
