The transfer portal may have closed on Friday, but the Colorado Buffaloes are making one final push to improve their 2026 roster with two additions on Sunday afternoon.
Deion Sanders’ program landed commitments from Indiana defensive back transfer Jah Jah Boyd and Ohio State freshman offensive line transfer Jayvon McFadden.
Boyd is a redshirt freshman with the Hoosiers who played in five games in 2025, recording eight tackles and a forced fumble. He will have three years of eligibility remaining and will not play in Monday night’s College Football Playoff title game. Boyd was rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports and was considered a two-way player coming out of high school. Could Deion Sanders have his eyes set on another Travis Hunter-type?

McFadden, a redshirt freshman, is the cousin of a former Colorado left tackle, Jordan Seaton, who was heavily recruited by the Buffs last season. He was a four-star recruit according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He played just 15 snaps for the Buckeyes, all at right guard.
McFadden’s commitment to Colorado is slightly ironic, considering Seaton commented on McFadden’s portal entry announcement saying “Yoo!, U wanna play togeth?” That comment happened before Seaton entered the portal. The Buffs will be switching family members, hoping that McFadden will outlast Seaton in Boulder with his four years of eligibility remaining.
Boyd and McFadden are Colorado’s 42nd and 43rd transfer additions, keeping the Buffs at 21st in the transfer portal class.
