After losing starting quarterback Bo Nix to a season-ending ankle injury, the Denver Broncos are set to start backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
Patriots defensive lineman Milton Williams may have inadvertently given Stidham some bulletin board material ahead of the matchup. Williams was asked by New England media members on Wednesday what he knows about Stidham. Williams gave a blunt response.
“Nothing,” Williams said, via CLNS Media Boston Sports Network. “I ain’t gonna lie, nothing. We’re gonna watch the tape on him and figure out what he like to do. But no. They didn’t like him over the Bo [Nix], so.”

The clip was a hot topic on social media on Wednesday, but Williams seemed to merely be giving an honest answer. Nix won the starting job over Stidham in 2024, and it’s not unusual for a fifth-year defender to not know much about a backup.
