The Buffalo Bills are turning to a new chapter at head coach.
Following a controversial 33-30 loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional round, Sean McDermott was fired.
Questions and unhinged press conference asides, Buffalo still needs a new head coach. Who could it be?
From here, interviews and rumors will be reported. Stay up-to-date with them all right here.
Here is Bills Wire’s tracker for all news relating to the Bills’ hiring of a new head coach:
Commanders RB coach Anthony Lynn
Age: 57.
Lynn is a former Bills offensive coordinator along with his most-recent role.
Former Giants head coach Brian Daboll
Age: 50.
Daboll was Bills’ offensive coordinator before becoming the Giants’ head coach. He was fired last season and is a Buffalo native.
Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo
Age: 59.
Anarumo has been a prior interview candidate for teams during hiring cycles. Anarumo has eight years of DC experience, the Colts were the 23rd overall defense in yards (349.8) in 2025. His best finish was 16th with the Bengals in 2022.
Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski
Age: 30.
A rising candidate, Udinski is likely a bit young as a head coach candidate. The Jaguars (337.4 yards per game) were the 11th ranked offense in the NFL in 2025… but won eight-straight games to end the regular season.
Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady
Age: 36.
Brady has been the Bills’ offensive coordinator since taking over interim duties in 2023. He has reportedly had multiple interviews for vacant head coach jobs across the NFL this offseason, including a second interview with the Ravens.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver
Age: 45.
Weaver has previous ties to the Bills. He was the team’s defensive line coach in 2013.
Rumor: Broncos QB coach Davis Webb
Age: 30.
Webb was the Bills’ defacto third-string QB behind Allen from 2019 to 2021. He’s currently not able to speak to Buffalo because of NFL rules but NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero made a connection. Pelissero added “multiple teams” are interested in Webb.
Rumor: Former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel
Age: 42.
McDaniel was fired as the Dolphins’ head coach this offseason but NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero made a connection here as well. However, considering Buffalo’s success against McDaniel’s Dolphins, Pelissero admitted McDaniel would be a “pretty hard sell” because of that AFC East history.
