Everton are considering several moves ahead of the January transfer window, with just over a week to go before it closes.

David Moyes may be in the market for someone to fill Jack Grealish’s role after the Manchester City loanee suffered a stress fracture in his foot.

Harry Wilson is being linked with a move away from Everton. While he appears interested in leaving, it might not happen until his contract runs out this summer.

The club are also eyeing another player who will become a free agent once the season ends.

This week, word got out that Everton are thinking about bringing in Harry Maguire during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Maguire’s contract with Manchester United runs out at the end of the season, so Everton are hoping to pick him up on a free.

There’s plenty of competition for his signature though, with Chelsea, West Ham, Bournemouth, Napoli and AS Roma all interested in signing the 32-year-old.

Kane spoke very highly of Maguire back in April 2024. While talking to Sky Sports, he said:

“He’s a really good friend of mine, a great guy, and a really hardworking professional.”

“From an England point of view, he is one of our best defenders in recent times. I’d go as far to say as one of the best defenders in our history of our country in an England shirt.”

David Moyes has a long-standing interest in Harry Maguire

The connection between Moyes and Maguire isn’t new. The Scot made several attempts to bring him to West Ham during his time there, and that interest seems to have carried over.

With Michael Keane’s contract set to expire soon, this move would make sense for both parties.

Maguire wouldn’t just be a solid replacement for Keane; he’d also add something extra from set-pieces, giving Everton another dimension in attack.
