Inter Milan superstar Federico Dimarco laid the groundwork for a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund last night.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old wingback delivered another scintillating performance.
Despite winning by a multi-goal margin, Inter suffered a lot at Signal Iduna Park.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri had to wait until the 81st minute to find a breakthrough despite outplaying their hosts.
Dortmund dealt well with the likes of Marcus Thuram and Ange-Yoan Bonny, so Inter needed a moment of brilliance to unlock the contest.

Felix Nmecha fouled Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the edge of the box, giving Dimarco a chance to put his set-piece prowess to the test.
However, the Italian ace did more than that as he slotted home a fantastic free-kick to open the scoring.
It was a fitting reward for his impressive performance as he maintained his rich vein of form under Cristian Chivu.
Unfortunately, Inter had to settle for a 10th-place finish despite breaking their ‘big game’ curse.
