The Buffalo Bills and wide receivers. Name a more talked-about duo.

With Josh Allen needing a weapons upgrade, the franchise got him players last offseason, but not true difference makers, with Joshua Palmer the “big name” coming to the AFC East.

At the time, it was seen as an okay move for the Bills, but deep down, fans knew it wouldn’t be enough.

And apparently, general manager Brandon Beane knew it, too.

Speaking on Mad Dog Sports Radio, Beane sensationally revealed that before the trade deadline, the Bills put out an offer to an AFC East receiver, but never heard back.

“I know we had the strongest offer on one, but they ultimately decided not to pull the trigger,” Beane said. “Maybe they decided it wasn’t enough, or maybe they just decided they didn’t want to send him in division.”

Who was mystery AFC East WR?

The fact that Beane said a strong offer, for me, it could only have been a couple of receivers.

Maybe Garrett Wilson from the New York Jets, or Jaylen Waddle or Tyreek Hill from the Miami Dolphins

Those are the only needle-moving moves that I could see the Bills making, and in truth, those are the only ones worth trading for in my opinion.

Had Buffalo gotten one of those weapons, maybe the 2025 season would have played out differently, but the Bills certainly tried to get Allen a top weapon; Beane just never heard back from that team.
