Jon Jones and Demetrious Johnson have reached a consensus regarding the GOAT discussion.

‘Bones’ and ‘Mighty Mouse’ are both considered among the best fighters in UFC history.

Fans often compare them when debating who holds the title of the sport’s greatest.

But neither Jones nor Johnson think there will ever be a clear answer to that question.

The American duo linked up at a charity football match.

‘Mighty Mouse’ recorded their chat for his YouTube channel, where he has over 1.6 million subscribers.

Their comments on the GOAT debate went viral after social clips made the rounds.

In the clip, both agree that more than one fighter can lay claim to the title of greatest ever.

“Me and him battled for so many years to see who’s #1 and #2, but he was always #1,” Johnson stated.

“I feel like people respect us both tremendously as great fighters for completely different reasons,” Jones replied. “I always say, there’s plenty of room out there for many stars. Who’s the best is always gonna be an opinion.”

Pointing to his cameraman, Johnson said: “I always loved him. He was like, ‘Why does there only have to be one?’ I love that, there doesn’t always have to be one.”

Insisting that they are both winners, Jones concluded the discussion by stating that their regular mention in the GOAT debate is proof of their success.

He added: “The truth is, who is the best is always gonna be an opinion.

“So, it’s great to be mentioned in the conversation. That’s what it’s about. We’ve made it.”

Jon Jones admits he would struggle to beat Demetrious Johnson

Jones has conceded he would have his hands full if he ever fought Johnson.

The former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, who holds a 112lb weight advantage over Johnson, was quick to point out that the size difference would not make things easy for him.

“Honestly, I don’t want no smoke with that guy. He’s unbelievable. Believe it or not, I would have to give my all to beat him right now. I really would, despite our size difference.

“That kid’s always in the gym, he’s in shape, he’s one of the greatest martial artists on the planet, and he’s used to being the smaller guy. Fighting small guys can be very difficult. They’re very fast, and he’s very intelligent,” he concluded.
