Tottenham Hotspur are without a win in their last eight Premier League games, with last night’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United leaving them five points above the relegation zone. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have now lost 11 league games this term and Spurs manager Thomas Frank is under more pressure. He insisted last night that his position is safe but, according to BBC’s Sami Mokbel, Tottenham have explored contingencies should they decide to call time on his reign.

Spurs are back in action on February 22 when they host league leaders Arsenal in the North London derby, and they have enough time to bring in a replacement should they part with Frank. The fans are already calling for his head, with the majority of the home supporters booing him and the team on Tuesday night. While injuries to key players have not helped, the Tottenham boss will have no excuses should a defeat to Arsenal see the team slip into the relegation zone.

It remains to be seen whether he would be in charge for the game, and not many would be surprised if he is shown the exit in the coming days.
