While the Arizona Cardinals continued their search for a defensive coordinator, there was always some who believed they may already have him.
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports is reporting that the Cardinals will retain Nick Rallis as defensive coordinator.
This would be fun, since the beginning of the offseason there have been murmurs that the Arizona Cardinals could possibly, maybe, potentially hold onto Rallis as their defensive coordinator.
Now, national media is reporting it is done.
The #Cardinals are expected to retain Nick Rallis as defensive coordinator under new head coach Mike LaFleur, sources tell @CBSSports.
Was Jonathan Gannon’s DC the last three seasons. Now expected to stay in Arizona as the DC under LaFleur. https://t.co/EI3sakSzD7pic.twitter.com/Y2AnWzuHgl

Sometimes when I get these tidbits handed to me I just don’t think it’s possible, and why I usually leave them in either the comments or buried somewhere in an article, but now it is official.
However, as Uncle Jess and I have discussed before, maybe the belief is that he was so held back and required to run what Jonathan Gannon wanted done, that he can make this work this time.
What are your thoughts the Cardinals bringing Rallis back as DC?
