Olympian Breezy Johnson got engaged on the mountain after the brutal Super-G race, surrounded by athletes — and news cameras that were airing the proposal all over the world.
When it came to sharing the romantic moment on Instagram, the skier chose a Taylor Swift hit song “The Alchemy” as the soundtrack to the Thursday, February 12 post.
And Swift responded.
“’Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me,’” quipped the mega-star who’s known for being a romantic and is herself currently engaged, to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “’CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
For her announcement, Johnson had written, “Hey guys… meet Connor! My ex boyfriend! And current fiancé!!! 💍 Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!”

Team USA later shared the moment, showing Taylor’s comment.
Johnson has had quite a week, after winning the first USA gold medal of the Games, for the women’s downhill. It was the 30-year-old’s first Olympic medal.
Her teammates jumped right into the comments to congratulate their friend.
“So happy for you two ❤️,” wrote Lindsey Vonn. “What a week!! 🥇 💍”
“SOOOO MUCH LOVE FOR YOU GUYS❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” added Mikaela Shiffrin.
Comeback queen Vonn is currently receiving treatment for a broken leg sustained during her very first event, and Shiffrin missed the podium in her team event but hasn’t yet raced her signatures: slalom and giant slolom.
