Cucurella’s absence was injury-related, with the Spanish defender currently sidelined by a hamstring issue.

There has been no suggestion of disciplinary action, as the outing appeared to take place during scheduled downtime.

Still, the visuals prompted reaction online, particularly given Palmer’s importance to Chelsea’s attack.

Palmer and Pedro likely to return for Burnley clash
