Cubs All-Star Takes Shot at Dodger Fans

Chicago Cubs All-Star Pete Crow-Armstrong shaded Los Angeles Dodgers fans in an interview with Chicago Magazine.

Crow-Armstrong — who broke out as a star for the Cubs in 2025 — grew up in the Los Angeles area, going to Harvard-Westlake School. The star praised fans in Chicago, but in doing so chose to take a shot at Dodgers fans.

“I love Chicago more and more. It’s just an incredible city. The people are great,” he said. “They give a s—. They aren’t just baseball fans who go to the game like Dodgers fans to take pictures or whatever. They are paying attention. They care.”

While he’s from the area, Crow-Armstrong is far from a Dodger fan. His dad grew up in Illinois and forbid him from rooting for either the Dodgers or the St. Louis Cardinals.

“Growing up in L.A., my dad gave me a couple of rules. 1) I couldn’t root for the Dodgers. 2) I couldn’t root for the Cardinals,” PCA wrote in The Players’ Tribune last year.

While Crow-Armstrong speculates Dodger fans don’t care, they ultimately have bragging rights as the current holders of the World Series.

PCA and the Cubs will look to establish themselves as serious contenders in the coming season, though, and they’ll get an early shot at the Dodgers during the regular season. L.A. hosts the Cubs from April 24-26, and LA Sports Report’s Doug McKain believes the Dodgers will show the All-Star just how much they “give a sh*t.”
