Jaylen Brown thinks Neemias Queta has another level he can reach with Boston Celtics

During the Boston Celtics 114-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday (Mar. 1) evening, star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown had a smile on his face as he watched teammate Neemias Queta have the game of his career to date. Putting up 27 points and 17 boards along with 3 blocks, there were plenty of good reasons to be happy with what Brown saw from the Portuguese big man, and the Cal alum was not shy in talking up his 7-foot friend.

Asked if he was surprised by Queta’s leap this season, Brown said “I wouldn’t say I’m surprised, I’m happy though. I’m pleased with his progression, he’s been working all season long and he’s done a good job this year. I think he has another level he can tap into and I feel like he’s starting to tap into that next level, so that’s big.”

“So, we’ve got to keep empowering that, telling him what he’s doing well, give him some feedback when he’s not doing well, but tonight was excellent,” he added.

“The big was up, (Andre) Drummond was up on the screen so those seams were open,” Brown continued. “We just gave him the ball and trusted him to make the right decision every time.”

“He was able to get it going. He had some nice up-and-unders in the seam and stuff like that (…) helped propel us to a win. But their big was up so we just trusted us in the seam and he made the right play every single time.”
