Lamine Yamal was on target yet again on Saturday night, scoring the winner for Barcelona against Athletic Club in La Liga at Camp Nou.

The goal was Yamal’s 50th of his career so far and means the teenager has netted a half century of goals already. He’s now scored 44 times for Barcelona and on six occasions for Spain.

Yamal has hit 50 goals at the tender age of just 18 years and 237 days, reaching the landmark at a much younger age than superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi was 20 years and 315 days when he scored his 50th career goal, while Ronaldo did not hit a half-century of goals until the grand old age of 21 years and 297 days.

Yamal has come in for some harsh criticism previously for his finishing but has been scoring goals for fun this season for Hansi Flick’s side.

The teenager now has 14 in La Liga, three in the Champions League and two in the Copa del Rey so far this season.

He’ll hope to add to his tally in midweek when Barcelona return to action against Newcastle in the Champions League.
