As teams have begun resting players ahead of the playoffs, it finally falls in favor of the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins have both rested players in games the Flyers needed them to win. Fortunately, the Bruins still pulled through with the win on Sunday.
Now, Philadelphia is on the benefitting side of it. Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has confirmed he will be resting some of his top guys on Monday.
Among them are Sebastian Aho, Seth Jarvis, Jordan Staal, Andrei Svechnikov, Jaccob Slavin, and Shayne Gostisbehere.
Rod Brind’Amour has confirmed that a few top guys will not play tonight against the Flyers.
“(We’re) giving them the chance to heal up a little more and obviously get a little mental break as well.” https://t.co/7HCOl5awAy

On the unfortunate side, it does look like starting goaltender Brandon Bussi will be between the pipes.
The Hurricanes can clinch the No. 1 seed and home ice advantage in the Eastern Conference with a point in the next two games.
On the other hand, the Flyers can punch their playoff ticket with a win in the next two.
I can’t imagine the Canadiens laying down against the Flyers on Tuesday if Philly’s playoff life is on the line. That means it’s critical that the Flyers take advantage of this.
