Pastore: “Mastantuono has to adapt but Real Madrid have to adapt to him as well”

Former PSG midfielder Javier Pastore talked to the press and shared his thoughts on Franco Mastantuono, who has had a rough debut season for Los Blancos.

“He’s an 18-year-old kid; man, I wish I’d made it to Madrid at that age. He’s a really talented young guy, and we gotta give him time. He’s gotta get used to things, and the team also needs to help him out so he can play his game. He’s not one of those players who can just make a difference all by himself, like Vinicius or Mbappé. Instead, he needs to link up with others to build plays and get into the box. I think, over time, we’re all gonna see what kind of player he really is,” said Pastore.

Argentina have high hopes for Mastantuono, so his performances have drawn a lot of attention. The midfielder could leave the club on a loan deal this summer as Real Madrid try to find a club so that he can develop as a player.
