No kidding, Currys is turning out to be a bit of a goldmine for cheap laptops for business and the back to school season. I went through all the deals to find 4 laptops that boast snappy processors and 16GB DDR5 RAM for smoothly tackling work in the office and at school.
My top all-rounder is the Asus Vivobook S16 for £599 (was £999). This lightweight OLED laptop with a 16-inch screen will effortlessly handle day-to-day tasks most professionals and students need. And it won’t break the bank doing any of it.
I’ve been tracking all the best Prime Day home office deals this year. And while there are plenty of discount laptops on Amazon that absolutely aren’t worth your time or money, I was pleasantly surprised to see some genuinely good price drops in the Currys summer sale.

Intel Core Ultra 5 255H | 16GB DDR5 | 1TB SSD
This 16-inch laptop caught my eye for its responsive Core Ultra chip, and long battery life. But the real bonus here is the OLED screen that hits 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage for content creation. View Deal

Intel Core Ultra 7 256V | 16GB LPDDR5X | 1TB SSD
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 is a powerful ultra-portable OLED laptop tailored to multi-tasking and heavier day-to-day workloads at work or school. View Deal

Intel Core Ultra 5 225U | 16GB LPDDR5 | 512GB
This is a serious steal for a 2K OLED laptop tailored for work, study, and streaming. Performance-wise, it’s powered by an efficient Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB RAM. View Deal

Snapdragon X X1-26-100 | 16GB LPDDR5X | 512GB SSD
A snappy, cheaper alternative to the Zenbook, this 14-inch laptop drops the OLED display and the price, but it’s still a long-lasting pick for general office work and school tasks.View Deal
One to avoid
Don’t buy this Asus Zenbook A14 from Currys. Right now, the exact same model with double the storage is on sale at Amazon for £500 for Prime Day.

Snapdragon X X1-26-100 | 16GB LPDDR5X | 512GB SSD
Massive price drop on this efficient 14-inch OLED ultra-portable with up to 32-hour battery life. It’s tailored for running office apps, emails, and web browsing. But avoid it. Seriously. Amazon beats it on price and specs right now. View Deal
