HP has kicked off its 4th of July sale with a string of discounts on laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, and accessories. But as hardware editor with an eye on upgrading business office tech (and the back-to-school season just around the corner), it’s the laptop deals that caught my eye.
The one you won’t want to miss is the HP OmniBook 5 for $680 (was $1240). This 16-inch laptop is part of a flash sale with 45% off – but it ends in less than 15 hours. It’s equipped with an ultra-efficient Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, paired with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. For day-to-day computing tasks, this one ticks all the boxes at the right price.
I’ve rounded up several more, including an ultra-portable 14-inch model that boasts an awesome battery life, and a 2-in-1 that’s ideal for working and studying on the go. But for my money, the HP OmniBook 5 is the laptop I’d buy in the sale. It’s got the biggest discount by a mile, and the best blend of performance and price.
