Denver Summit FC, a women’s soccer team of which Peyton Manning is a minority owner, will play the first NWSL game of its expansion season at the Denver Broncos‘ stadium on March 28, 2026.
The game — against a to-be-announced opponent — will be nationally televised on CBS, and tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Nov. 12, on DenverSummitFC.com.
“We are honored to support Denver Summit FC for their inaugural match at Empower Field at Mile High,” Broncos president Damani Leech said in a statement. “This venue has hosted many memorable moments in Colorado sports history, and we look forward to working together to bring a best-in-class experience for Summit FC fans.”
Manning joined the club’s ownership group this summer.
“It’s a real honor to be part of something so meaningful to the Colorado community,” Manning said in June. “I’m proud to support the growth of women’s sports and excited to help build a club that our city and our state can rally behind.”
In addition to serving as the home of the Broncos, Empower Field at Mile High has also hosted more than 15 major soccer matches since 2001, including the U.S. men’s national soccer team’s 3-2 win over Mexico in the 2021 Concacaf Nations League final.
Following the special kickoff game at the Broncos’ stadium, Denver Summit plans to play at a temporary stadium in Centennial over the next two years while a stadium is built downtown. The upcoming 14,500-seat stadium is scheduled to open in Denver ahead of the 2028 season.
