Frank Zambo Anguissa
Napoli delivered an update on Frank Zambo Anguissa this Thursday. The Cameroonian is on the verge of missing out on AFCON 2025.
Terrible news for Napoli and, above all, for Cameroon just weeks before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Frank Zambo Anguissa suffered a thigh injury on Tuesday during a training session with the national team, two days ahead of facing DR Congo in the World Cup playoff semi-finals. The injury has been described as “serious”, according to the Neapolitan club.
“He underwent tests today at Pineta Grande hospital, which revealed a significant lesion of the biceps femoris in his left thigh. The player has already begun his rehabilitation process,” read the official statement. According to Italian media, the midfielder is expected to be ruled out for AFCON (December 21, 2025 – January 18, 2026) and won’t return for another two months.
