Paul Pogba
Officially back on the pitch thanks to AS Monaco, Paul Pogba discusses the possibility of playing in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team.
On Saturday night, Paul Pogba made his return against Rennes (1-4). The French midfielder has taken his first big step: becoming a footballer again after more than two years away from the game. Now, can the former Manchester United star realistically dream of featuring for Les Bleus at the upcoming 2026 World Cup?

“It’s a long way off. Right now, I’m really focused on getting fit, truly getting back into shape to help the team. If I’m not fit, if I play poorly, if I don’t perform at Monaco, then the French national team is out of the question. So it’s very, very far away, and for now, I’m only thinking about Monaco,” Pogba responded in the mixed zone after the defeat to Rennes.
