If you are looking for the best deal on a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac mini, you have come to the right place at the right time. Even though new MacBooks only just arrived in October, you can already save $200 on one at Amazon.

We check all the best resellers in the U.S. and the U.K. for the best prices all year long, so we always have our fingers on the pulse of the best deals. Black Friday 2025: Top shopping tips

  1. We tend to find that the biggest savings are on older models, but be aware that these aren’t always the best value for money.
  2. Check the generation of the model that is discounted to make sure you know exactly what you are buying and what it’s really worth.
  3. We’ve seen resellers switch to selling refurbished or used when the stock of brand-new models run out, so check that the model discounted isn’t actually a used Mac and therefore not as good a deal as it might look.
  4. That’s not to say you should avoid refurb models; you just need to make sure that you aren’t buying something used when you want a new model.
  5. Mac deals aren’t limited to Black Friday. We see good deals all year round, so don’t feel pressured into buying during Black Friday.

How to get the best MacBook deals for Black Friday 2025: Our advice

16inch MacBook Pro 2024

Apple updated nearly all of its MacBook models in 2025, and we expect to see all-time-low pricing on many models and configurations:

M4 MacBook Air: Apple updated the MacBook Air with an M4 chip in March with a surprising $100 price cut across the board. That means the base model starts at under $1,000 and is routinely on sale for $800 or less. Amazon has already cut the price to $750 and we expect it could go even lower once Black Friday arrives.

M4 Pro/Max MacBook Pro: Apple’s high-end laptops haven’t been updated since late 2024, but they’re still excellent machines. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy one at a discount of $300 or more, even with rumors of an M5 update coming.

M5 MacBook Pro: Apple released the M5 MacBook Pro in October, so we don’t expect to see huge discounts just yet. However, it’s possible to see price cuts of $100 over Black Friday.

Apple hasn’t updated any of its consumer-level desktop Macs in 2025, so prices on the M4 models are as low as they’ve ever been:

M4/M4 Pro Mac mini: Apple updated the Mac mini late last year with an M4 chip and a new design. The M4 Mac mini is a fantastic device with an extremely small footprint, so don’t hesitate to grab one at a discount.

M4 iMac: The iMac has a 24-inch 4.5K display and a speedy M4 processor starting at $1,299. Look for sales between $1,100 and $1,150 before you decide to buy one.

Does Apple discount Macs for Black Friday?

Apple doesn’t drop prices for Black Friday. Rather, it gives away gift cards when you buy certain items. For Apple’s Black Friday shopping event in 2025 it is giving away gift cards with MacBook Air, Mac mini, iMac and M4 Pro and M4 Max MacBook Pro purchases made on Apple’s U.S. site or Apple’s U.K. site. Since they are so new, the M5 MacBook Pro models aren’t included in Apple’s deal.

The 2025 deal is pretty good. You can get a gift card for up to $250 on a new Mac, which is better than 2024’s maximum offer.
