On a night when Milwaukee Bucks coach could have been talking about how the Milwaukee Bucks could begin to takeoff on a possible winning streak with a much-needed victory against the 17-4 Detroit Pistons, he instead again had to respond to the turbulence created by national reports that Giannis Antetokounmpo. wanted to discuss his future in Milwaukee.
And after shooting down Giannis trade rumors again, Rivers and the Bucks had to deal with yet another left of center turn of events when Antetokounmpo somewhat shockingly went down with a right calf injury early in the first quarter without any contact, Dec. 3.
Many Bucks fans on social media assumed the worst when the back of Antetokounmpo’s leg appeared to grab and buckle after he was beginning to run up the court. Some feared Giannis had suffered an Achilles injury, but that panic eased when it was reported by the Bucks that it was a calf strain. He missed four games last month with a left-adductor strain before returning to action Nov. 29.
But without Giannis, the Bucks rallied for possibly their bestvictory of the season, a 113-109 decision over the first-place Pistons.
Here is a bit of reaction after Giannis’ latest injury:

This is…not good.
Giannis down on the floor; no contact. Had to be helped off the court but was walking a bit on his own on the way into the locker room. pic.twitter.com/SrXhKNtqgt— Rachel Nichols (@Rachel__Nichols) April 10, 2024
Oh Giannis Antetokounmpo did pick up an injury.
I don’t see enough for Achilles to be a concern, but the team will likely evaluate it.
Calf strain could’ve happened after he jumped off of his right leg for the jumper, then felt on the jog after.

For Giannis’ sake I hope he doesn’t rush back from this calf injury. We know what happens next

Giannis ain’t getting traded anywhere with the dreaded calf injury.
Teams will want to know he is healthy.
The Bucks have got to be sweating it.

Anyone who thinks Giannis would fake an injury is crazy. We are talking about the most hardworking, selfless person in the nba. Have some respect guys

Huge comeback for the Bucks. Character win, being down double digits multiple times without Giannis.
Pistons lack of shooting, inability to handle zone defense, cost them here.
