Dunham is searching for its first state title since 2004. The Tigers reached last year’s Prep Classic, but lost to Catholic-New Iberia, 31-28.
This season, the Tigers are 12-1. They reached the Prep Classic as the No. 5 seed in the bracket. Last week, they held off top-seeded Lafayette Christian Academy, 49-48, in the semifinal round.
Haven, one of the top highly recruited quarterbacks in the nation, has thrown for 3,638 yards and 59 touchdowns this season, and his 59 TDs ties a single-season state record.
Calvary Baptist (12-1), the No. 6 seed, is seeking to win state for the second time in three seasons. The Cavaliers have won four state titles in program history, with the first of those in 2013.
