Twitter reacts to Patriots' blown lead to Bills, first loss in months

The New England Patriots were defeated by the Buffalo Bills 35-31 in a back-and-forth AFC East divisional battle on Sunday.

It was a disappointing outing for the Patriots, as they allowed a 21-point lead to slip from their grasp. Quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills came roaring back in the second half of the game to hand the Patriots their first loss since September.

Buffalo outscored New England by a 28-7 margin in the second half on their way to a pivotal divisional win. Josh Allen went 19-of-28 passing for 193 yards and three touchdowns in the game, while Maye was held to 14-of-23 passing for 155 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

The story of the game was the Patriots’ inability to stop the Bills’ ground game. Running back James Cook racked up 22 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns to help snap the Patriots’ 10-game winning streak.

The game was basically a tale of two halves with the Patriots blowing up the scoreboard early and playing tough against the run. However, in the second half, they got run into the ground and failed to get anything going on offense, outside of rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson’s legs. And even that couldn’t save them.
