Week 17 Injury Update: Cowboys RB Javonte Williams

The Dallas Cowboys offense has been humming like a well-oiled machine in Week 17. Scoring on each of their first three possessions, the Cowboys have been able to finish drives in their game against the Washington Commanders, eschewing fourth-down kicks for going for it.

Dallas has converted on all four of their fourth-down attempts, guts found after being eliminated from the playoff chase a few weeks ago. The Cowboys’ offense has worked both through the air and the ground, with running backs Javonte Williams and Malik Davis assaulting the Commanders defense.

Williams scored the ground touchdown on one of his 13 first-half carries. But the 54 yards gained may end up being his final numbers for the game, as he’s now been classified as questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

Williams has been dealing with a shoulder/neck injury for the last few weeks, but was not on this week’s injury report for the Cowboys.

Williams entered the game seventh in the league in rushing yards, with 1,147, and entered the contest with 12 total scores on the year. He’s a starting RB in many fantasy football owners who are competing for their league championships.

Dallas leads 24-10 at halftime.
