We have more Ohio State transfer portal news to bring to you because it seems like that’s the gift that just keeps on being taken away here as of late. Almost every position group and class has been hit by the portal, and this time, it’s a freshman offensive lineman who saw no game action at all.
Jayvon McFadden, a 6-foot, 4-inch, 315-pound offensive lineman out of Rivervale Baptist High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, made the decision to get sucked into the transfer portal on Wednesday, bringing the total number of Ohio State players entering their name to 20.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, McFadden was ranked as the No. 24 interior offensive lineman and 391st overall prospect in the 2025 class. He redshirted this season, so he will still have four years of eligibility left to carve out a career elsewhere.

Ohio State’s offensive line struggled mightily in the losses to Indiana and Miami, so any player movement within the position group should not come as a surprise. In fact, we’ve already seen one offensive line starter enter the portal. The Buckeyes will most likely be very aggressive in luring upgrades through the portal as the offseason continues, and as more news of the transfer portal comes, we’ll bring it to you just as fast as we can.
