The Pittsburgh Steelers have had an incredibly busy offseason and we haven’t even made it to the Super Bowl. On Sunday another staff move came out and one that came as something of a surprise. NFL reporter Aaron Wilson is reporting that the Steelers are hiring former Atlanta Falcons Chief of Staff of Coaching Operations Steve Scarnecchia.
If you are wording what Scarnecchia did with the Falcons, his duties broke down like this.
- Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinating the team’s daily meeting and practice schedules, as well as the overall football calendar.
- Budget Management: Managing the football operations budget.
- Event Orchestration: Organizing team and staff events.
- Administrative Support: Providing administrative assistance to the coaching and operations staff.

The Steelers quickly hired Mike McCarthy to be their new head coach after Mike Tomlin stepped down voluntarily after 19 seasons with the team. McCarthy is now working on filling out his staff and preparing for the next phase of the offseason.
