WATCH: Drew Brees gets the 'knock on the door' from Hall of Fame

There isn’t a moment more special than when a representative from the Pro Football Hall of Fame gets to visit a new inductee and share the good news. And for New Orleans Saints fans, there may not be anyone they can agree is more deserving than Drew Brees. The all-time great quarterback has won his place in Canton, Ohio as a member of the Hall of Fame Class of 2026. And cameras were rolling when he received word that he got in.

It’s rare to see Brees speechless, but this exchange did him in. A handshake turned into an embrace, and the next thing you know, he’s tipping back flutes of champagne with his wife and children (who, it looks like, enjoyed sparkling apple juice instead). The Hall of Fame released a 30-second teaser ahead of a feature-length special for all five members of the Class of 2026, which will air exclusively on NFL Network on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. CT/10 p.m. ET.

See for yourself:

Brees will go into the Hall of Fame alongside wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, linebacker Luke Kuechly, kicker Adam Vinatieri, and running back Roger Craig. He’ll be waiting when his great teammates like Jahri Evans are due their turn for enshrinement in years to come.
