The Colorado Buffaloes have rebuilt their offensive line through the transfer portal the previous two offseasons, but entering 2026, there seems to be more continuity.

Three starters are projected to be back in the fold, likely along with two transfers, which hopefully makes a five-man group that can hold up against pressure and keep star quarterback Julian Lewis upright.

With that in mind, here is our Buffaloes Wire prediction for Colorado’s offensive line for Week 1 of the 2026 season.

LT: Bo Hughley

Hughley transferred in from Georgia after playing 10 games for the Bulldogs from 2023-25. He only started in three games, so this is a bit of a projection on my part, but I do think he wins the starting left tackle spot over Larry Johnson.

LG: Yahya Attia

Attia has been complimented by plenty of coaches and players over the past year. He started four games during the 2025 season, including a few starts at left guard. He earned Pro Football Focus Big 12 LG of the Week in Week 11. He seems the surest thing to pencil in at this point in the spring.

C: Demetrius Hunter

Hunter was brought in for one reason: to play center. In four seasons at Houston (2022-25), he started 28 games with 25 coming at center. Hunter has experience starting at the position in the Big 12 and has only allowed two sacks in the past two seasons. He is a guy who can anchor your line.

RG: Jose Soto

Once again, I am going with experience instead of a player with untapped potential. Furthermore, Soto knows the Go-Go offense from his time with Brennan Marion at Sacramento State. All things being equal between him and FCS transfer Sean Kinney, Soto gets the nod due to his experience in the offensive scheme.

RT: Taj White

White, similar to Hunter, has double-digit starts at the Power Four level. He started 11 games at right tackle for Rutgers last year and steps into that same position with Colorado. Larry Johnson might also be competing for this spot, but White is the superior player.

However, given White’s versatility (starts at left guard), he could be an option as the swing tackle should Johnson or another player win the starting right tackle job.
