Like so many across the nation, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Barney Frank, my friend and col­league who died Tues­day at age 86. As a US rep­res­ent­at­ive, he was my essen­tial legis­lat­ive part­ner in the fin­an­cial ser­vices com­mit­tees, includ­ing address­ing the rav­ages of the 2008 fin­an­cial crisis that threatened the sta­bil­ity of not only the coun­try but also the world.
